Rain and River - Marzipan
Rain and River is an allover design woven using small-batch cotton yarn from Thailand and organic hemp yarn from China. It is woven on a silk warp to soften the fabric. The yarns are also softened in a pre-treatment before hand dyeing. The fabric is suitable for upholstery and the layout can be modified to suit your project.
Woven width: 120cm / 47" - Repeat size: 15" / 37.5cm.
Yarn content: 58% Cotton, 32% Hemp, 10% Silk.

Special instructions: Must be backed or knit backed before use and must be lined for soft furnishing use.
What makes this fabric special: This hand-woven fabric is not only the epitome of sustainability but also the motif tells a beautiful story. The motif is woven into the fabric as the depiction of the monsoon rains (thick stripe) falling on a river (the zigzag) creating a puddle (thin stripes) in the middle. It is both strikingly graphic and meaningful reminding us that water is the source of all life.
